UNH Workshop to Train Facilitators of Person-Centered Planning
Durham, NH - The Institute on Disability at the University of New Hampshire, in collaboration with The Browne Center, will present Methods, Models & Tools for Facilitated Person-Centered Planning, a five-day workshop designed to develop the competencies needed to facilitate consumer and fa mily directed career, education, and life planning.
Methods, Models & Tools for Facilitated Person-Centered Planning
Dates: February 22 & 29 and March 7, 14, & 21
Time: 9 am to 4 pm
Locations: All sessions will be held at Springfield College in Manchester , NH , with the exception of March 14th, which will be held at The Browne Center in Durham , NH
Registration Fee : $650 ($50 discount available for each person when registering in groups of three or more)

The workshop will incorporate lecture, role-playing, action learning, and peer support to provide an interactive forum for developing and practicing effective group facilitation skills. The curriculum addresses theories of group development, offering experiential methods for process design, questioning and recording skills, and strategic planning. Models of situational leadership, team performance, conflict management, and principled negotiation are translated to the context of person-centered futures planning. Methods, Models & Tools has been approved by the NH Chapter NASW for thirty (30) Category 1 Continuing Education Credits for social workers.
This workshop is appropriate for individuals who have a strong interest in developing the facilitation skills used to support increased or improved group collaborations. Social Workers, Case Managers, Family Support Coordinators, and those interested in learning how to facilitate person-centered futures planning would benefit from participating.
