Information Technologist II - Web Designer

Under the supervision of the Associate Director of Communications and Technology, design, develop, test, deploy and maintain organizational websites, digital communications products, and web-based tools with a strong emphasis on user experience and accessibility that support more effective external communications and greater organizational efficiency. Acceptable minimum qualifications include:

• Bachelor's degree and two years of interactive web design experience, Associate's degree and four years, or combination of education and experience equal to six years. 
• Strong web design, graphical user interface (GUI) and usability testing skills 
• Search Engine Optimization (SEO) principles and best practices 
• Understanding of ecommerce 
• Experience with Multimedia, video streaming and Webcasting 
• Social Media Integration 
• Expertise in web technologies including: 
• Web server configuration and administration 
• Web Development Technology
• .NET 4.0 / C# / ASP.net and Visual Studio 2010 
• CSS / HTML / HTML 5 / PHP 
• Javascript / jQuery 
• Web accessibility standards (including Section 508, WAI, ARIA, W3C) 
• Proficient with the Adobe Creative Suite 
• Understanding of APIs 
• Strong general computer hardware and software skills
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Strong customer service skills
